I am pleased to be with you this morning to worship our God in spirit and truth. And, as I begin
this sermon, just a reminder … when I preach, I am preaching to myself. If something in what I say
helps in your faith journey, and I hope it does, just know that I am preaching to all of us this
morning … myself included. May it be a blessing to us all.
Moses and the Hebrew people were looking to the future as they camped in the Sinai. The Pharaoh in Egypt had not asked for their consent to be his slaves. But now God was asking those
newly freed slaves to agree to a covenant with God and to commit to a future with God.
