The Last Will Be First 

In sermons and in Bible Study classes, I sometimes tell listeners that the longer title of The Bible can be stated as “Hello, I am God … and you are not!”

That is good news.  That relieves us of the burden of judging ourselves and others.  We are not competent to do that … we do not know enough … only God knows enough to judge, and God’s judgment?  John 3:16-17:  “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.  Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”
