Tradition holds that David and Solomon wrote the Psalms … maybe … the truth is that we just do not who the author(s) are … nor do we know when they were written, although they are almost certainly very old, written and edited and shaped and compiled during the millennium between the reign of Israel’s King David and the birth of Jesus.
